This is it? Not!
I’m wondering the point of all this and at the verge of chucking up all this.
I had this feeling before. This kind of sectarianism is not my cup of tea. One seems to like or lump everything what Groundspeak has in store for their customers. I seem to be some kind of outcaste that is a bane for this community. In fact, one seems to prefer to attack me instead of the monopolist I’m writing my dissatisfaction about. Forum posts where I’m posting my opinion about things are deleted. Since I don’t like to copy/paste things, I refer to my blog post. One sees this as an off topic blog promotion – strangely enough one does read it since I have enough page views anyway – , whereas the real off topic thing is the discussion itself since the problem is not GSAK but Groundspeak related. Since there is no solution to this yet – I wonder when there will be one, if ever – people are trying to find an intermediate solution, one take it ill of the people offering one. The scaredy-cats are afraid of any repercussion, although many lurkers agree that there is a problem.
So it’s better for my (and my health) to stop this – some might say self-pity – and focus on other things. It’s clear that one isn’t waiting for this kind of ‘crap’ between all this lovey-dovey by others. Do I need to stop nagging about cache owners lacking the responsibility of maintaining their caches or even the politeness to respond to people (including reviewers) bringing to their attention that their cache is not logable in the current state of their cache? Time will tell.
