Sticky matters
I just finished another phase of my little project – I forgot to mention in my previous post – in redecorating the house: wallpapering the little room.
Despite being a little room, it’s a pain to redecorate it -whether it’s with paint or wallpaper – with all the little corners, recesses and sanitary fittings. That makes I hadn’t any time to geocache this WE. The last week was also meagre due to the kids’ holiday and I needed to entertain them. And geocaches isn’t their idea of being entertained. Luckily I could escape from my duty last Friday afternoon and evening. We’ve gathered the usual team for the WW7 event next month and we needed to do some ‘training’ in order to bring things to a happy end on the event itself and to be au fait again (it has been a while since we all met IRL).
Freggie and I already started in the afternoon. Freggie have put some nice and easy going caches on the to do list. This allowed me to try out my new Oregon 450t – but more on that in a later blog post – without doing all different calculations or other things that monopolizes the attention:
- Forbidden Places (II) : The N25 Bridges by yndigos & Jajar (GC118NX)
- L141 – Toute une histoire by azertyx (GC1EDN2)
- Chevelipont by azertyx (GC152EB)
- Bois d’Hez by azertyx (GC1588E)
- Villers la Ville by Lau Yo MamieJo Je (GC1RVR7)
By ended this tour on time at sundown and enough time to fortify the inner man. At 7PM Wodanza, VuurVos, Orsobianco and Weedboer joined us for the night cache: Le Coureur des Bois (night cache) by Indiana Jack (GC1309E). It’s another Indiana Jack cache, but we were able to keep things dry this time and finished it really smoothly. It went so well that we picked up L’Hermitage by azertyx (GC158BV) and Falaises Brabançonnes by azertyx (GC152GB) too.
We wanted to chewed the fat for another hour at a local bar, but one refused us admittance since we didn’t have any member card. There wasn’t any alternative, thus we returned home by 11PM. It was yet another nice gathering and a welcome relief to the redecoration. Speaking of, still a lot to do, so less time to geocache
