Starting peacefully
After the past festivities, it’s time to get back to business. That is off course geocaching business. On my last X-mas vacation day, I needed to drop off the music keyboard my son borrowed from a friend/colleague of mine. As always, I try to combine this with some stash hunting. Nobody else of the family wanted to join me, so I’ve put 8 caches on list. It’s kind of a loop that I made on the south of the Belgian province of Limburg, which is a very nice region. Today was rather peaceful: I encountered only one muggle. These are 8 cashes I’ve found in 2 hours time, which I think is rather fast. Maybe it’s because 6 of them make part of the “Rondje Zuid Limburg”, a 10 cache tour around the most beautiful spots in that region and thus no work for me to find out what the best way to combine was.
Without further ado, the list:
- Rondje Zuid Limburg 7 “Gingelom” GC1K0G4
- Rondje Zuid Limburg 6 “Niel” GC1K0G1
- Rondje Zuid Limburg 5 “Borlo” GC1K0F0
- Rondje Zuid Limburg 4 “Jeuk” GC1K0EY
- Rondje Zuid Limburg 3 “Mielen” GC1K0EX
- eikenbos GC1FTA7
- Sacraal GC1FTAJ
- Rondje Zuid Limburg 8 “Velm” GC1K0G5
All of them are by the same author: jstippel. Many thanks for letting me discover this region.
Also a thank you for Freggie for providing me a film canister for my soon to be released trad. In these digital ages, those kind of container are not so easy anymore to find, even not a local photographer. Speaking of; I was looking for a nice picture to adorn my cache page and I found some nice ones in a Belgian digital photography forum. I mailed the person and he agreed to provide me the photos. More on that later.
Btw. I start to like cachemate a bit more since geojoe provided my a very useful hint to prevent showing up all the waypoints of the multi. Many thanks for that.

Nice going on finding 8. Very quick work. The snow here is about a foot deep, so our caches are harder to find. “Winter friendly” only till spring.

In fact, one expects snow this night. It’ll be problematic on the road for my first work day this year.
