Sinterklaas and discoveries
Sinterklaas (see also earlier blog) has been visiting both our place and the grand parent’s (my in-laws) home. That’s a busy WE for the kids. We went yesterday to granny and grandfather yesterday and I picked up WIP cache 2: Klaverblad Lummen GC1J8D1, a work in progress cache. As such it isn’t a difficult one – I stopped the car coincidentally within 5 meters of the cache – but it’s certainly interesting for its value. Each logger takes a picture of the long term infrastructure works in progress and at the end one gets a nice overview.
After the traditional afternoon pie, I took a – due to heavy traffic – no so healthy walk to the Vierendeelbrug Hasselt Centrum GCZTWG cache. The author has provided a historical overview of the bridge concerned. It always interesting to learn something new from caches.
That counts also for the De kaBOUTERSEM schat GCR048 stash I discovered today. It was located at a typical place I drive by without stopping there. It’s a hidden treasure that is certainly worth visiting. I had a bit problems with finding the coordinates for WP2 at WP1, but it went rather smooth after that.
Oh yes, I’ve also hidden my second cache and asked my geocaching mentor Freggie for a trial run. When he managed to solve the riddle of the mystery and shared his findings with me, I will publish it asap. To be continued. Speaking of own caches; my first cache (TB & GC Motel Afrit 24 GC1JK5Q) has been logged 7 times (when I’m writing this) since the day it has been published (Dec 1st) . This is nice. The motel has no vacancy for extra TBs, thus it is time that the long stayers move forward. So if you are in the neighbourhood…

It looks like the TB motel is getting good traffic. By the looks of the log, lots of travelers in and out.

Yes indeed. I hope it remains like this.
