No Power

Just when I realized that I was too busy with this little project of mine and I hadn’t written a blog yet, there was a power outage. It lasted between 7:30PM and 22:00PM and didn’t fancy to sit behind the keyboard after that.

But no despair, I have a whole of holiday in order to entertain the kids during their school break.  Once in a while, I can escape from my duty:-) Anyway, in order to keep it short, I wanna share some little pieces of news.

  • My TB Lady Bee – The Great TB Race of 2010, competitor in the Great TB race is lost in action. It ended on a 22nd place but will drop to the tail of the scoreboard the coming months. I said it before: TBs are a bit of a lost effort for me. Probably, I won’t buy new TBs  anymore, certainly not ones that should put out in the wild.
  • I picked up my Oregon 450t yesterday afternoon. I didn’t unbox it yet though. The main reason is mentioned above, but I’m waiting for the screen protector I’ve ordered last week in Germany. More details in a later post.
  • GeocacherQ has launched a really nice site for the mystery cacher among us: www.code101.be
It covers codes and cryptography that can be/is used in mystery caches. He explains the history, give some background info and explains how it works. He doesn’t copy/paste things but puts only information on it which he understands himself (which is a lot btw). Very interesting indeed.
  • After the geosnippits on YouTube and the Michigan Magazine, HeadHardHat will have his very own TV show. Speaking of, he was also one of the speakers of Cachercon 2010:

and guess who’s being mentioned in part II?

Btw, I did also some geocaching last Sunday morning. Despite the snow – it’s about time that it’s gone for while – I was able to find these lot:
