New adept
Yes, I know. I haven’t blogged for a while (maybe to the delight of some). The Easter holidays made me to spend some time on other things –> entertaining the kids.
But before that, I could convince the family to have a nice walk by tackling the multi De Rotte Gaten by orsobianco (GC1533Y). It is a shame that I’ve waited so long before doing this cache located at one of the nice places that survived the advancing urbanisation. As said, the rest of the week was focused on kids entertainment. That included a two day stay at Phantasialand, a nice attraction park which isn’t as commercial as e.g. the Disney muddle. I like this Phantasialand very much and it ends in my top three, which includes Asterix parc and Movie Park. After dinner, I couldn’t resist to pick up a cache. Despite the fact that it was already 9 PM, my son insisted to accompany me. Since it was already dark, it took a while to find Black Mamba by seannami (GC1Q2Y4) with only the limited light from the torch on my mobile phone.
This must have made a deep impression since my son decided that he wanted to have his own geocaching account, create his own caches and join my on long events. For the moment, he has already realised the first step: please meet dinti. He has already three finds, which he scored between Friday and Sunday:
- De Dikke van Wilderen by Team Begaardenbos (GC146YX)
- De Heren van Duras by team begaardenbos (GC152F5)
- Abbaye d’Heylissem by wattmaxx (GC25CJ8)
I did myself some geocaching last Saturday, but I come back on that in my next post.
