My own Travel Bugs

It’s official. I have my own travel bugs. I found them yesterday evening in my post box. I told you in an earlier blog that it stroke me that the price at EU resellers is way higher than the US prices and they ship on top via expensive courier services.

I found this UK shop the other day and I ordered 2 TBs, a waterproof micro log + pencil and a couple of official geocache stickers. I ordered them on Thursday, the goods where shipped the same day and I got everything delivered on Monday. All this costed (shipping included!) me the same amount as if I would buy only 2 TBs in Belgium WITHOUT shipping costs. When the goods are the same everywhere, I’d buy where I can get them the cheapest. That doesn’t mean that I don’t have respect for the local and other EU shops, but I’m not a philanthropist either. The money I save with this, I can spend on other (geocaching) goals.

Having said this, I’ve registered the travel bugs but didn’t have time to take pictures yet. When they hit the road, I certainly will let you know. Hopefully they will have a long and save journey.
