Live after 150, Can I Do It?
The school holiday is nearly to an end and I survived it. I went last Thursday with the kids to a book fair. It’s an annual event where one can buy slightly damaged of overstock books at a bargain.
This attracts a lot of people, so I make sure that I be there the first day as early as possible. Needless to say that I’m into the only one with that self-claimed clever idea, but it’s surely not as overcrowded as one would go on other times. After a small hour I went home with three Harry Potter books and some knickknacks one really doesn’t need. At least one has the idea that it doesn’t cost that most. Not going is even cheaper, but not as ‘fun’. Anyway, one my way home I picked up “sluip weg” GC1MXY8 a cache at a ‘secret’ route near a industrial zone. I worked there for 10 years and now – nearly 20 years later – it’s the first time that I actually took this road./p pLater that day, a performance of a local stand-up comedian was planned. It might seem a mental aberration for some, but I took the opportunity to route out some caches for that evening as run-up. I scheduled more finds, but due to the darkness descending over the town we ‘only’ discovered:
- ZICHT OP SPOORWEGLIJN LIER – AARSCHOT GC1AKVK
- Heyst-op-den-Berg : Hof Van Riemen GC1AMD4
- Heyst-op-den-Berg : 1000 jaar Heist GC1FBX8
- Heyst-op-den-Berg : Neanderthaler GC1FBX3
The fun thing was that I did this mini tour with an ex-colleague/friend who lived all his live nearby and didn’t know about the spot we went.
On Saturday we went for the regular visit to the in-laws. Traditionally, I try to tackle one (or two) caches after the afternoon pie: Vergeten plaatsen 1 (Kerkje) GC101EY and No smoking in the air … GCWWAB. It was really nice caching weather. I hope that this a start signal for spring and that we can say definitely goodbye to winter.
The good weather continued today and in order to celebrate the 150th find of yesterday, I wanted to attack “Help ik ben ge-cache-napped!!!!” GCPFHN. This Letterboxing cache is a nice change after all that brute GPSr force.
PS. the problems with Windows Live Writer mentioned earlier aren’t caused by the latter but related with some problems with PHP and libxml.
