K – Day
Freggie was in the eve of was on the verge to be a kilocacher and we made something special about it. Here is the report on Judgement Day.
As mentioned in the previous blog, a group called called “The conspiracy” made sure that finding this 1000th became a lengthy process. After the whole preparation, the “Council of Wise Men” decided that the time was ripe for his final challenge(s). He had planned a geocaching trip with Vuurvos and Weeboer last Saturday, but that was cancelled. We told him to be standby last Saturday around 8 AM instead. In order to make sure that he was ready on time, I already send him some SMS at 7 AM.
Exactly at 8:00, I ringed at the Freggie’s residence, where a nervous Freggie opened the door. He got even scared a bit more when I handed him a balaclava and a (plastic) gun and told him that we were going to redefine the concept of treasure hunting. It was of course note seriously intended. The purpose was to blindfold him and he could choose between a paper bag, 2 balaclavas and a scarf. He preferred the latter. So after loading all the gear he thought would be necessary – he even took swimming trunks along – I blindfolded him and have put him down on the backseat of my car.
So we headed – with a stop-over in order to pick up Wodanza – to our secret destination: the start of the multi : IN DE BAN VAN DE RING GC1VMK3 with The Lords of The Ring as theme. We were able to prevent that he tackled it, which we failed to do with our original plan: “Mission 1:Alcoholcontrole” by Vuurvos himself. Even Mrs Freggie couldn’t hold him with all her charms. After all, she was part of the “The conspiracy” and couldn’t afford to be unmasked. Everything went very smoothly and after 3 hours we finished this stage. Everything was according to plan. Freggie was in assumption that this would call the geocaching day, but we blindfolded him again and drove to stage 2: a surprise party/lunch at his home. The other halfs of the conspiracy members prepared everything whilst we were doing the LOTR cache in the morning.

This concluded a 1,5 – 2 month celebration of Freggie’s cache and I think/hope he liked it as much as we did.
