The Search Jaunt

I’ve read earlier today the recent Northwoods GeoCats blog where tonka_boy talks about site performance and refers to wayfarer, talking about SEO. I found a lot of useful tips over there. I also discovered the odiogo plugin which converts a blog to a podcast without recording something.

A podcast is nice and useful, when you’re doing a long walk alone during a cache hunt. There are some hurdles preventing me to record a podcast though:

• I don’t have the nicest voice in the world
• I’m not an native English speaker. In fact, English should be – after Dutch, French and German – my 4th language. In practice, English became a kind of a 2nd language. That doesn’t mean that I’m a fluent speaker though. Even writing is – grammatical wise -  sometimes a problem

Such a tool is thus good news for me. It makes a kind of Text To Speak version of my blog. Ok, it’s not perfect (intonation wise), but it’s certainly better than a version recorded by myself.
