Getting in too deep?

Last Saturday, Freggie and I attended the GC event II: C A . . . . na pasen by KomPas-sie & Stevelly (GC20050).

Since the event didn’t start before noon we had some time to pick up some caches along the way to the event location:

But the main dish was the event off course. This was a smaller scale event, which clearly has also its charms. The joviality enables you to have some time to chat with both the organizers as fellow cachers. The main theme of zone 1 was Easter, with some extra bonus games. My favourite one was certainly the pool where one needed to go into a pool in order to find the boat of our team and an additional stamp. The cachers before us decided to fabricate a raft with the provided material. The ‘volunteer’ on the raft lost his balance and had a wet suit as result. The team didn’t see the Fisherman’s boots for walking in the water, hidden in a tree. I’ve put them on and was able to get our boat and stamp with keeping everything dry.

After finishing zone 2, we had some time left so we decided to find Tour de Belgique by scoffie en de MISSloopsters (GC1Q8N1). This is one year old mystery which was found only twice before us. It took a very long time to solve this puzzle, but I got rewarded by picking up my own TB, which resided in that cache for almost a year.

We closed the day with the evening part of the event, which was fun. It was a mixture of finding reflectors, solving puzzles, keeping an egg undamaged and not getting caught by the caching police. I wasn’t able to complete the latter, since I underestimated the off-road capabilities of their car.

It was fun and enjoyed the day and event very much.
