Frustration day
I visited yesterday a friend who designs lamps from driftwood, stumps, etc. I made a site somewhat a year ago for her. This site was created in Flash and not well maintainable. So I recreated the site in WordPress in order that she could update the site on her own without being afraid to ask me doing things for me. The result can be seen at http://www.licht-hout.be/After doing the handover, it was still not dark, so I couldn’t resist to search for a cache in the neighbourhood: erosie GC1DEJ7. I had to search a bit for the correct access road, but once found, I recognized the place. I was here earlier this year very near when strolling with some friends. I recognized the noise of the highway traffic, the trains and the planes. The entrance of the path to the cache was turned into some kind of dump, which is a shame. Anyway, I found the stash rather smoothly. The container was rather original and when I opened it to log, I saw in the logbook that somebody did log 15 minutes before me. It must have been the two guys who said hello when we crossed earlier.
I’m a bit frustrated today. It’s all these little things together I guess. First of all, my TB & GC Motel Afrit 24 GC1JK5Q still seems to create some fuss. After the remarks (see also my earlier blog) about the size and the place towards muggles, I read in the log today that the most recent logger finds that it isn’t even worth the while. I guess people dislike the cache for some reason. I can agree on the size – which I was working on – but what else do people expect? A TB/GC Hotel shouldn’t be that challenging, does it? As long as it is a quick find, nearby a busy road in casu a highway. So the only way to stop this criticism is to look for another place nearby the current one at the car pool parking. If I don’t find a suitable place though, everything remains as is, expect for the additional container.
Next frustration was that my second cache isn’t approved yet. I created the page yesterday evening after my mentor did the try out and said it was (very) nice. A mystery needs apparently to have some extra information in order to be approved. I don’t have that info with me right now, so I have to provide it when I’m home this evening. So a little more patience please.
Update: I could retrieve the information needed during lunchtime and provided it to the reviewer.
I had some other frustation too, but these are gone since I published blogs like this and the other one.
