Capital of taste

I frequently visit Hasselt, the capital of taste, for several reasons. First of all, my wife origins from there and my in-laws still live there. We visit them usually each fortnight. I usually combine this with discovering a geocache. Last Sunday,  the whole family wanted to join me tackling “Natuur zonder Grenzen” GCKK52. This nice multi follows a track at Domain Kiewit, a.k.a. the children’s farm to the locals. The benefit of following a trail is that one can focus on looking for the tags, which isn’t easy with all the muggles on a Sunday. The family didn’t join till the end due to the cold, but after the calculations I could spot and log quickly in order to be back at the in-laws place in time for the traditional afternoon pie.

Yesterday, I went with a colleague to Hasselt again for a concert – of Monza for the interested – at the cultural centre. I couldn’t resist to pick up the Hang Out II GC11C9M cache. As such not a difficult cache, but it was getting dark and we couldn’t find the access road to the playground immediately.
