Brussels without the muscles

I’m nearly going on holiday, but before that I try to catch up caching wise.

It was rather calm on the caching front. I was rather busy other things like the tedious work of painting the framing of the newly installed windows. I hate this, especially all the little corners and bits near the windows. The wood used was green MDF – which is good for its dampproof properties – shows through different coats of paint. After applying a primer and two coats of silky gloss varnish, the job is finally done. Just in time before heading on holiday. The destination is not exactly my cup of tea, but the wife wanted to go the seafront and since the weather in our regions is rather unstable, it’ll be South of France (with a stop over at Eurodisney as birthday gift for the daughter. We’ll see how things pass off, but luckily there are plenty of caches on the way.

Speaking of caching, since the son is at a scouts camp and the daughter wanted to sleep at the in-laws – but she doesn’t want to sleep alone, thus the wife is there too – I’m alone, so I decide to head to Brussels. Despite being born and raised and resided in Brussels for 25 years, it is still a blind spot on my geocaching finds map. Time to change that and I found the following caches (spread over 2 evenings):

I also added as a mark for my 300th find: “Des Kaiser´s Handy#1-Station 50 / Köln-Flittard” GCCB9B . From now on, I’ll do that only at each 50 caches found. Having said this, the next post is within a couple of weeks. Hopefully I can post many experiences and a very extensive list of caches found.
