Last Thursday we had a public holiday. As most of the other people, I bridged the gap and added Friday as an extra holiday with a nice long WE with of course some geocaching too.

It started on Thursday with a nice multi in a nature reserve: ‘De Doode Bemde’ GCJFZY. HH1 has the talent to create caches that covers the whole spectrum of geocaching. This one isn’t as difficult as others, but let you discover splendour of the nature in this reserve.

On Friday, we went to Lier (again) for the never ending story of the raisin dispenser of our bread machine. We combined some shopping with geocaching: ‘Lier PhotoTrip’ GC1BPKA a nice photo multi that let you discover the historic place of Lier and ‘Achter het slagboompje!!!’ GC1QQ78.

Whilst the daughter was choosing a rain jacket in a sports store, I also choose a light rain jacket, a large bum bag for all my geocaching gear and some Nordic walking sticks that I can use as pricker. Together with the iPaq 214 I’ve ordered earlier this week, I hope to be prepared for the CAROLO GEOCACHING CHALLENGE #1 (Challenge) GC1M4DA next month.

Today I concluded my WE with ‘Regenkapelleke’ GC1RBBP. We went to a playground with the kids in afternoon and dad was granted his bit of fun too afterwards :-)

A nice geocaching WE or maybe not? I have to nag about TBs again. My ‘Belgian Beer Bug – The Great TB Race of 2009’ is doing far from good. First of all, it got penalties due to some dipping despite the TB description states not to do so. Secondly, it gets stuck with somebody for nearly a month. Sure, I make also mistakes on this. I try to move TBs as quickly as possible and in my I rush I accidently grabbed a TB I picked up the other day before the previous cacher had the chance to log it. My apologies for that.
My ‘TB & GC Hotel Afrit 24’ GC1JK5Q isn’t doing well either: it gets ransacked. People don’t seem to understand the philosophy of a TB hotel very well.

The conclusion of this might be that I don’t have to take all this to heart and that some aspects of this sport aren’t my cup of tea and concentrate on the rest.
