A matter of art
After the caching raid last monday, this WE seems rather slow geocaching wise. But there some ‘extenuating circumstances’ which I can as excuse. First of all, I had to go to hospital for a checkup after a surgery nearly 2 years ago. My lower jaw was unlinked and reconstructed for orthodontic reasons. I guess the surgeon wanted to know if his masterwork was still in one piece. I knew that I had some time left before it was my turn – I had an appointment at 5:45PM and I was still there at 8PM – , so I decided to discover a couple of cashes on my way to the hospital.
The first one was Carpool Windgat GC1M764. When I was reading the log as preparation I knew that the container should be something special. When I arrived, I spotted it after a couple of minutes. I must say that the laudatory logs were absolutely right. The container was original, well designed and I’m sure that SAILtm has put a lot effort in. A master piece of art.
The second one was Hansbrug GC1AHTE which took a bit longer to discover due to the deviation although it was hidden at a logical location. I still have the bad habit to trust the GPSr more than my instinct and/or senses
Today was yet another calm day. Despite that he was ill, my son still wanted to go ice skating with the scouts. After dropping him, I picked up two caches on my way home:
- Schat aan de Abdij GCK90R at an old abbey which is still used for marriages. Proof of that (and a football match nearby) was the lack of parking space and thus I could attack this via the most efficient way. I had a nice walk as reward instead.
- De beukberk GC1MB07 is a new cache released earlier this week. I knew the neighbourhood since my wedding photos were taken here more than a decade ago
